For a care organization in the province of Zeeland, we designed a snoezelruimte for aging people with intellectual disabilities and dementia. The space is designed to stimulate and preserve memories through tactile and visual experiences that match the clients’ perceptions.

Given the location and history of the care facility, we chose an agricultural theme, with a beautiful wall print enhancing the rural feel. The space is further decorated with various elements, including a wall slide frame, wall touch plate, gear play plate and turntable mirror plate.

These elements help create a familiar and stimulating environment, where clients can snoezelen/sensory and interact with the space in peace.
